We are designers, engineers, and people working together to do big things

THE CHALLENGE

Netflix asked us to design the ultimate recognition of fan creativity and geeky passion – the Geeked Week Fandom Award.

We designed the trophy in the image of Squid Game's iconic Young-Hee, The Doll, to reflect Netflix's game-changing approach to storytelling and their immense community of fearless fans. Our design included an illuminated window on the trophy face, featuring the event logo and a floating, audio-sensitive blob of ferrofluid which dances and jumps with a life of its own. The trophies were awarded to four winners, selected by their fellow fans, each of whom embodies the pinnacle of their geeky fan passion - from cosplay to fan-created artwork. We couldn't be more thrilled to realize this celebration of creativity for Netflix.

The Solution

Design

This project pushed us to rethink what an award could be. We set out to create not just a symbol of recognition, but a bold expression of excellence in the fan-driven world Netflix has pioneered. Our design defies the typical expectation of a passive trophy, instead transforming it into an immersive, interactive experience. The award responds to its environment, becoming an active participant in the moment. Like the stories Netflix tells, the award is alive—engaging, evolving, and connecting its recipient to the event in ways that are as memorable as they are impactful. It’s not just an award; it’s a part of the experience itself.
