The Basics

At RISTICH, we have worked with clients on creating and developing new websites that serve as front end stores for their products. If your brand is generating traffic to a website or you haven’t created a website yet for your brand, a consumer facing website is a no-brainer addition to your portfolio. With the popularity of services like Shopify and Woo-commerce it’s more straight forward than ever to getting started.

How it Works

E-commerce websites work by allowing visitors to directly purchase items straight from a built in webstore on your site. Credit card processing is usually handled through third parties and shipment of orders can be either setup with a third party or done by the seller themselves. Adding a webstore to an existing site can be done easily with HTML plugins from third party providers and most web design services now build store pages as standard practice.

Common Third Parties

We recommend working with Shopify or Woo-commerce as two of the most user friendly third party services for handling the back end of your websites shopping functionality. Shopify has e-commerce ready themes if you’re building a site from the ground up or can be added with custom HTML code directly onto an existing site. Woo-commerce is built more for entreprise and larger business e-commerce and can be a bit more complex to setup, but comes with added flexibility.
